DC Kishtwar flags off students’ group to Bhaderwah Winter Camp

KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma, today flagged off a group of 10 students to Bhaderwah for attending a 4-day winter camp being held for the students of Kishtwar Doda and Ramban districts.

The camp is being hosted by Directorate of School Education Jammu to promote sense of comradeship, sportsperson spirit, exchange of cultural values amongst students of the 3 districts.

Chief Education Officer, Ashok Kumar, Dy CEO Rajinder Singh Sen, Incharge SAMAGRA Anoop Kumar beside escort teacher were also present on the occasion.

In this camp, the students will be exposed to the sites of historical and cultural and tourism importance. During the camp the students will visit to tourist sites like Ghatta lake, fish pond, Padri etc besides take part in the snow skiing, painting, tracking, rock climbing, snow sculpting and cultural programmes.

 The participants will also be imparted training in   yoga, physical activities and acquainted with the culture and traditions of different areas of the Chenab region.
