KATHUA: District Development Commissioner(DDC), Kathua, Om Prakash Bhagat, today reviewed the fire safety scenario in major healthcare institutions of the district, here at a meeting.
The DDC sought a thorough fire safety audit of all hospitals and nursing homes of the district. He directed Assistant Director Fire and Emergency Services -the District Fire Audit Officer, to identify the gaps so that necessary safety measures can be taken on time.
He impressed upon the Heads of Health Institutions to coordinate with the visiting teams of Fire and Emergency Services and install necessary fire safety equipments at suggested locations.
The DDC also called upon the concerned officers to make a checklist of Fire safety tools required and ensure proper functioning of the safety system.
SSP Kathua, Shailendra Mishra, ADC Kathua, Atul Gupta, Principal GMC Kathua, XEN PWD and other Heads of Hospitals and Nursing Homes were also present.
