252 beneficiaries provided financial assistance worth Rs 7.50 crore in G’bal

GANDERBAL: Under the initiative for empowerment of youth and women entrepreneurs, District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today distributed the loan Sanction letters among 22 identified beneficiaries here during a felicitation function.

On the occasion, the Zonal Head J&K Bank informed that 363 educated youth entrepreneurs of the district were identified during B2V3 out of which 252 cases were sanctioned for supporting them with financial assistance worth Rs 7.50 crore for establishment of different units under the initiative for empowerment of youth and women entrepreneurs.

While interacting with the beneficiaries, the DDC complimented the beneficiaries and impressed upon them to avail this opportunity for establishment of viable units and become job providers rather than job seekers.

He also assured full support from District Administration to the unemployed youth of the district for establishing employment generating avenues in the district to earn their livelihood.

Chief Planning Officer Ganderbal, Zonal Head J&K Bank, Cluster head J&K bank, DIO Ganderbal and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
