GANDERBAL: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today inaugurated Sakhi-One Stop Centre (OSC) for women at State Resource Centre for Women at Wayil Ganderbal.
This Centre is intended to support women affected by violence, in private and public spaces, within the family, community and at the workplace.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that this centre has been established with an aim to provide an array of services viz. skill development and psychological assistance besides others to violence affected women under one roof where she can walk in without any fear and discuss their problems freely.
He said OSC is designed to help victims and will provide access to integrated range of services under one roof including medical aid, police assistance, legal aid, shelter and other helps to women and girls to fight against any kind of violence.
District Programme Officer ICDS, District Social Welfare Officer, Child Development Project Officer, Consultant from Ministry of Women and Child Development and other officers of the district were present on the occasion.
