DDC G’bl inspects developmental works at Lar, listens public grievances

GANDERBAL: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today took an extensive tour of far flung areas of block Lar and inspected various ongoing developmental works besides taking stock of public grievances here.

On the occasion, the DDC visited Waliwar, Chount Waliwar, Chathan and Balapati where he inspected the progress of various ongoing developmental works and the concerned officials also briefed the DDC about the physical and financial progress of these works.

The DDC urged the concerned officials to ensure that ongoing works are completed before the onset of winter season so that people may not suffer due to paucity of basic facilities during winters.

Meanwhile the DDC also met various deputations who apprised him about the issues they are facing due to lack of various facilities in the area.

The main issues that were raised by the people include development of roads, scarcity of potable water, up-gradation of transformers, better health services in the area and other issues of public importance.

After giving a patient hearing to the public issues, the DDC said that District Administration is committed to holistic development of the district especially in the far flung areas so that most of issues are mitigated at the grassroots level.

Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Chief Education Officer besides, other district officers accompanied the DDC during the visit.
