DDC Ganderbal inspects macadamization, dev works at Zazna Mandi

GANDERBAL: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today visited Zazna Fruit and Vegetable Mandi here to inspect ongoing macadamization and other developmental works approved under languishing scheme.

During the visit, the Executive Engineer, Horticulture Planning, Marketing Department and Construction Division Srinagar briefed the DDC about the status of ongoing development works including macadamization, administrative block, weigh bridge complex, public convenience block, garbage disposal shed, etc.

He informed the DDC that about 90 percent works are already completed while other works are in progress and will get completed till the end of October 2020.   

While reviewing the functioning of the Mandi, the concerned informed the DDC that the Mandi is operational and over 5 trucks of apple fruit are loaded on a daily basis which goes up to 15 trucks during peak harvesting season.

On the occasion the DDC said that the District Administration is always on forefront and making its best efforts to mitigate the problems being faced by fruit growers.
