Free ration distribution continues in Gbal among beneficiaries under ANBA

GANDERBAL: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, today, visited various ration stores in the district to monitor the free ration distribution to Migrant labourers for May and June under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.

On the occasion, the Assistant Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs informed the DC that there are 663 families comprising 1083 souls of migrant labourers in the district. He said 109 quintals rice, and 6 quintals or both Urd and Moong dal, are being distributed among the families for the month of May and June under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. He said that 66% of ration under this scheme is already distributed among the beneficiaries.

The DC said that the district administration has already taken slew of measures to ensure that food grains reach every corner of the district during this period. He said that the process of the distribution of free ration for the month of May and June under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan shall be completed in this week.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by ADC, Farooq Ahmad Baba and other officers of district administration.
