DC G’bal inspects First Aid Camp by Sheep Husbandry dept

Distributes Blankets, Umbrellas and Masks among local Chopans

GANDERBAL: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today inspected the First Aid Camp established by Sheep Husbandry Department at Haripora, Ganderbal for the screening of migratory Gujjar-Bakarwal nomads besides Chopans who move along with their livestock from planes to the higher reaches for greener pastures.

During the visit the DDC took stock of First Aid facilities to be provided to the livestock during the migration from lower reaches to higher reaches which has already started.

The DSHO Ganderbal informed the DC that for regular health checkup of these nomads/chopans, 3 more First Aid Camps have already been set up at Nagbal, Haknaar, and Naranaag.

He also informed that till date 2035 livestock and 23 Chopans were screened and provided First Aid facilities at First Aid Centre, Haripora.

Later, DC Ganderbal along with SSP and ADC Ganderbal also distributed the blankets, umbrellas and re-usable face masks among the Chopans of the district Ganderbal, one chopan from each SEC (Sheep Extension Clinic)/ FAS (First Aid Centre).

During the visit DC Ganderbal was accompanied by SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal, ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Ganderbal Dr. K.L Kakroo and other officers/officials of sheep husbandry department.
