BARAMULLA: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo today inaugurated several developmental works including public parks and other projects as part of ongoing 3rd phase of ambitious ‘Back to Village’ programme here.
He also carried out several other social and developmental activities meant for the overall welfare of the village.
On the occasion, a Gram Sabha was presided over by the DC during which the PRIs and other stakeholders highlighted several demands and grievances. The DC gave a patient hearing of the issues and demands during which he on spot issued directions to the concerned officers for their redressal.
Dr Itoo also highlighted the aims and objectives of back to village campaign and said that the programme aims to listen the issues and demands of the people at their doorsteps. He also urged the people to cooperate and participate in such activities and informed that all the basic necessities is being provided to every rural household.
SDM Syed Faheem, visiting officer to the village, BDC Chairperson, district and sectoral officers among other concerned functionaries participated in the programme.
