DDC Bandipora convenes introductory meeting with officers, reviews Developmental scenario

BANDIPORA: After assuming charge as District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Ravinder Kumar held an introductory meeting with district officers of various departments and reviewed the performance of all sectors.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad and other senior officers of the district were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Deputy Commissioner Bandipora assured the officers of the district administration of his complete support in the endeavors aimed at prompt execution of works and development of district.

DDC directed the district officers to ensure prompt public service delivery system, people friendly work culture and ensure deserving people avail benefits of different welfare schemes.

He said he would be taking regular assessments of works at ground levels and would be expecting the most honest and dedicated efforts at ensuring smooth and responsive administration. He exhorted upon the officers to provide a responsive administration to the people, based on the principles of justice so that visible impact is seen on the ground.

With regard to the war against COVID19, Ravinder Kumar hailed the untiring efforts of the frontline workers that bore fruits as evident from the decreased number of cases. He said the war has not ended yet and urged the officers not to lower the guard till the chain is broken. He said the officers need to be more alert with ease in restrictions and urged the people to continue to follow advisories for their own safety and maintain social distancing.

Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress on several projects of public importance including water supply schemes, roads and other infrastructure besides reviewing the status of works on several languishing projects in the district.

He said certain developmental works have resumed in the district with priority given to important projects of public importance. He urged the officers to expedite the work on these projects so that projects can be completed at earliest.

DDC Bandipora said much time has been wasted owing to the lockdown and hence work needs to be expedited to compensate the losses. He directed them to keep in consideration the related health advisories especially maintaining social distancing and using safety gears while working on these projects.
