DDC also reviews arrangements for smooth conduct of Panchayat/ Municipal by-elections
ANANTNAG9: DDC Anantnag, K. K. Sidha today visited Aukura and Akad Panchayat Halqas of block Khoveripora to take stock of the activities going on under phase 3rd of the Back to Village programme.
At Aukura, the DDC stressed upon the people to conduct Gram Sabhas timely so that a genuine plan is worked out as per the local demands and requirements which will be fulfilled in due course of time.
Later on DDC inaugurated the Grillwork of Government Boys High School Akad in presence of visiting officer Zahoor Ahmad Wani (Director Finance Relief and Rehabilitation), BDO Mattan and other officials.
The officials of the school demanded development of the playground and fencing of the school and the DDC assured them that their genuine demands will be met in due course of time.
Meanwhile the B2V3 programme was held in five blocks of district Anantnag today.
Earlier Deputy Commissioner convened an election meeting at D.C office with the Nodal officers, security agencies and all other election related officers for the smooth conduct of the Panchayat/ Municipal by-elections.
He stressed upon the officers to mobilise their manpower and machinery on mission mode as per the tasks assigned to them.
Moreover he also instructed the officers to ensure effective coordination among themselves during the election process.
