UDHAMPUR: To ensure timely redressal of farmers’ insurance claims and maximise benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai chaired a review meeting to assess the progress in clearing pending cases under the scheme.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a bank-wise review of all pending PMFBY claims, assessing delays and bottlenecks. She emphasised the importance of expediting the process to safeguard farmers’ interests and ensure they receive timely financial assistance for crop losses.
A deadline of August 14 was set for all concerned banks and departments to clear the pending cases. The Deputy Commissioner instructed all stakeholders to adopt a proactive and coordinated approach to eliminate delays and ensure seamless disbursement of benefits.
