Assure relief and restoration measures
DODA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harvinder Singh along with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sandeep Kumar today visited Lower Bheja Bhaderwah to take stock of the damages caused by flood, which affected several households, school, temple and other public assets in the area.
During the visit, the DC and SSP Doda interacted with the affected families and the local community, assuring them of immediate relief and timely restoration of essential services. The DC Doda commended the resilience and unity displayed by the people of Bheja amid the incessant rains and appreciated their collective spirit in facing the challenges together.
He further informed that relief measures under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) have been initiated by the District Administration Doda to provide prompt assistance to the affected households.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed the concerned departments to ensure early assessment of damages and effective implementation of restoration works to minimize public inconvenience.
The visit was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah, ASP Bhaderwah, Tehsildar, BDO and other officers.
