SRINAGAR: The Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo today chaired a meeting here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex to review the progress of health initiatives in the district, including the enrolment of Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs and the coverage under the PMJAY-Sehat (Golden Card) scheme.
The meeting also assessed the ongoing Tuberculosis (TB) control measures and related health interventions.
At the outset, the DC emphasized the importance of achieving universal coverage under the ABHA ID initiative to ensure seamless access to digital health services. He directed the Officers to intensify awareness campaigns and expedite the registration process across all Medical Zones/Blocks in the district so that citizens are benefited from the government initiatives.
On the occasion, the DC also reviewed the progress of the Ayushman Bharat—Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), under which Golden Cards are issued to eligible beneficiaries,
The DC called for coordinated efforts to saturate the process so that all eligible families can avail benefits of cashless healthcare services at empanelled hospitals.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner also took stock of the performance of Srinagar District under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP). He commended the Health Department and associated teams for their accelerated efforts and improved performance in efforts towards TB elimination.
The DC emphasized the need to sustain the current momentum and further strengthen grassroots-level initiatives to achieve the goal of a TB-free district.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; Chief Medical Officer, Dr Tahir Sajad; Medical Superintends of SKIMS, JLNM, SMHS, CD Hospital, District Tuberculosis Officer, and all Zonal Medical Officers.
