Stresses on handholding of Krishi Udhamis to ensure proper functioning of all KKGs in district
SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar Akshay Labroo today chaired comprehensive meeting at DC Office to review functioning of Kissan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) of District Srinagar established under HADP project.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner was apprised that all the 10 KKGs allotted to District Srinagar have been successfully established and 8 Krishi Udhamis have been engaged out of 10.
The meeting was also informed that till date 3500 farmers have visited KKGs and registered themselves on KKG app for getting the services offered by KKGs .
On the occasion, the DC directed the Officers to ensure 100% saturation of registration of farmers on KKG App. He asked them to ensure that the Krishi Udhamis offer services related to Agriculture and allied sectors to the farmers at their doorsteps through CSCs and KUs emerge as successful Agri entrepreneurs.
Earlier, the Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar gave a detailed presentation during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Chief Planing Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Srinagar, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, District Officer Sericulture, Srinagar; District Lead Bank Manager, Srinagar; District Head, KVK, Srinagar; Assistant Director, Fisheries; Area Marketing Officer, HP&M Srinagar; District Coordinator, CSC and all the Krishi Udaymis of District Srinagar.
