DC Shopian reviews implementation of Mission Yuva

SHOPIAN: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta today Chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress and effectiveness of Mission Yuva in the district.

During the meeting, an in-depth evaluation was conducted of the Mission’s key components, including capacity-building initiatives, progress under beyond sanction campaign, facilitation and coverage of Lakhpati Didi beneficiaries, enterprise mentorship and the status of cases pending with banks for financial sanction. The review focused on identifying operational gaps and strengthening the delivery mechanism to ensure optimal outcomes.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of a coordinated and result-oriented approach among all stakeholders. He directed members of the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) and Business Help Desks (BHDs) to intensify beneficiary facilitation, ensure effective handholding and enhance field-level engagement to translate approvals into sustainable entrepreneurial ventures.

Highlighting the critical role of timely credit linkage, the DC urged bank officials to expedite the disposal of eligible cases by addressing procedural bottlenecks and ensuring prompt financial support to beneficiaries.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone; SDM, Zainapora, Bilal Ahmed, LDM, Cluster Head, J&K Bank, AD, Employment, Members of the  SBDU, BHDs and officials from various banks.
