SHOPIAN: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta today presided over a district‑level review meeting to assess the progress of the ongoing digitisation of Jamabandies.
He underscored the imperative of accelerating the exercise while upholding transparency, accuracy and strict adherence to timelines. He directed Naib Tehsildars and Patwaris to collaborate closely and devote themselves exclusively to the digitisation work. Tehsildars were instructed to monitor the process vigilantly, ensure the smooth conduct of revenue activities and demonstrate visible progress on the ground.
The DC set a target of achieving 50 % digitisation of Khasra records within one week. To maintain effective oversight, Tehsildars have been mandated to hold daily review meetings and submit comprehensive progress reports each day, reflecting the actual status of the work.

In addition, a structured grievance‑redressal mechanism was ordered to be activated immediately to address any complaints concerning the digitisation process.
