SHOPIAN: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today conducted an extensive tour of various areas of the district to inspect the progress of ongoing development works including the construction of the clock tower and Public Park at main town Shopian.
During the visit, the DC inspected 15.5 km Sindhu Shirmal to Vishroo road upgraded by way of construction of protection works, drains, widening, and pipe culverts etc. at an estimated cost of 16 crores, besides the macadamization from Narvaw to Reshnagri road length 8km at an estimated cost of 7.2 crore.
The DC directed the concerned agencies to expedite the pace of work and complete the projects within the stipulated time.
The DC during the visit was accompanied by Tehsildar Shopian, Bilal Ahmad, Executive Engineer, PMGSY and other concerned.
