SAMBA: Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan today visited the Social Welfare Department–run Child Care Institutions, Parisha (Girls) and Palaash (Boys).
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner undertook a detailed inspection of key facilities, including the store room, pantry, sick room, recreation room, dining hall and kitchens. She reviewed the standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep of the premises to ensure that the children are being provided with a safe and nurturing environment.
The DC also interacted warmly with the children, motivating them to pursue their education with dedication and to make the best use of the opportunities and facilities available. The institutions currently provide amenities such as a library, yoga sessions, recreation spaces, and other supportive services designed for the holistic growth and development of the children.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the staff to ensure proper care, nutritious meals, and a positive environment within the homes. She emphasized that the government remains committed to safeguarding the welfare and empowerment of children, particularly those residing in institutional care.
The visit was accompanied by District Social Welfare Officer Samba, Nawaz Sharif and other concerned officials.
