DC Samba directs line departments to gear up for Sewa Parv

Seeks focus on welfare, awareness, maximum public participation

SAMBA: A meeting to finalize the preparations for the upcoming Sewa Parv was today chaired by Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan. The meeting outlined a Directed Action Plan aimed at ensuring active public participation, convergence of departmental efforts, and holistic community outreach.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that Sewa Parv is not merely a set of activities but a collective spirit of service, reflecting the government’s commitment to citizen welfare and inclusive development. She laid special emphasis on the role of crucial line departments such as Rural Development, Health, Education, Municipality and Social Welfare, directing them to design and conduct special activities under various flagship schemes so that the benefits reach people at the grassroots level.

The plan for Sewa Parv includes cleanliness drives, tree plantation campaigns, health camps, blood donation drives, educational and IEC initiatives, workshops for vulnerable sections, sustainable practices and beautification drives. Awareness activities about government schemes will be carried out extensively, supported by real-time monitoring, visual documentation and social media updates to ensure transparency, visibility and mass engagement.

In addition to Sewa Parv, the meeting also discussed simultaneous preparations for Poshan Pakhwada and Swasth Naari Samriddh Parivar, with all concerned departments instructed to formulate detailed action plans. The DC stressed on building synergy at the district level, ensuring that the efforts of different departments complement each other to create a greater cumulative impact. Stalls of flagship government schemes will also be set up for direct citizen awareness and participation.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Samba, PO ICDS, ACD Samba, Chief Education Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, District Information Officer, CEO Municipality Samba, among other district officers, who shared inputs for effective implementation.
