DC Reasi finalises Eid-Ul-Adha arrangements

REASI: To finalize the arrangements for Eid-ul-Adha and implementation of restrictions related to Covid-19, Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh today convened a meeting of representatives of religious heads and district officials of various departments, here at the conference hall of DC Office Reasi.

ADC Reasi Abdul Star,ACR Sanjay Badyal, Additional S.P Surjeet Kumar,Tehsildar Reasi Munshi Ram were also present during the meeting.

With regard to essential services and basic amenities, the DC asked PHE and PDD to ensure uninterrupted supply of water and electricity on the auspicious occasion of Eid to avoid inconvenience to the people.

The FCS&CA authorities were instructed to ensure timely supply of ration and availability of LPG and essential commodities.

The DC directed the concerned enforcement agencies to keep strict check on quality and rates of Mutton , Chicken, Fruit, Vegetables, Bakery and other essentials to curb profiteering.

The DC also enjoined upon officers to intensify market checking in the district to ensure people get quality commodities at Government fixed rates.

Health authorities were directed to deploy a team of doctors and paramedics staff along with ambulances at all religious places.

Further DC said that the facility of RAT testing shall be also established for people volunteering for testing at major locations.

Traffic and Transport departments were instructed to ensure proper route plan and facilities for parking of vehicles.

The DC directed the concerned to ensure devotees enter religious places only after following proper covid SOPs by wearing of face mask and hand sanitizing at entry points.

Stressing on proper maintenance of sanitation, concerned authorities were directed to conduct fumigation of mosque premises a day before and on the day of festival.

While inquiring about the number of devotees visiting Mosques, the DC appealed to the representatives of religious organizations to convey devotees to offer prayers at home  instead of rushing to Mosques for their own safety and safety of others.

The DC stressed on strict adherence to Covid-19 Appropriate Behavior during the festival to avoid spread of Covid-19 infection.
