DC Pulwama holds presser, appeals people to stick to Covid-19 SOPs

PULWAMA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Baseer-ul-Haq Choudhary on Tuesday briefed the media about the situation of Covid 19 in the district.

On the occasion, DC said that the recovery rate of Covid positive patients in the district is improving while the death rate has also declined.

He said imposing restrictions, lockdown and corona curfew is not to hurt the people, transporters or business community, but to save precious lives of people.

He further said that more vigilance is needed in the next ten days which are crucial to get rid of this epidemic.

The DC said that there are 2800 positive cases in the district while the recovery rate has increased to 80 percent in previous days. He reteriated that the Administration has enhanced infrastructure with better healthcare facilities in the district to save the lives of people.

He appealed to people for the cooperation and urged for sticking to the precautionary measures for containment of the disease. He advised people to strictly follow the SOP’s and guidelines issued by the administration so that spread of this disease is curtailed.
