RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today presided over a grievances redressal-camp held here at Dak Bungalow as part of the ongoing ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign under the Good Governance Week.
People across the social spectrum attended the event to know about the government initiatives and project individual and collective demands.
Stalls were put up by the line departments to facilitate on-the-spot delivery of public services and redressal of grievances.
The DC said that the objective of the campaign is to take governance to the grassroots, ensure time-bound redressal of public grievances and enhance awareness about government schemes and services. Several grievances were resolved on the spot, while awareness was also generated among the masses regarding different welfare initiatives.
Similar grievances redressal camps were also organised at Kalakote, Nowshera, Sunderbani, Kotranka and Khawas, witnessing active participation of people.
It was informed that the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign shall continue till December 25, with grievances redressal and service delivery camps being organised at multiple locations across the district to ensure last-mile governance and citizen-centric administration.
