Directs departments to ensure seamless, well-coordinated celebrations
POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today convened a meeting in the Conference Hall of Dak Banglow to review the preparations for the Republic Day-2026 celebrations.
At the outset, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik presented a detailed briefing on the arrangements made so far.
The Deputy Commissioner inquired about the security and traffic arrangements, venue decoration, public address system, seating arrangements, first aid and fire safety, parade preparations, illumination of government buildings, provision of temporary toilet facilities and other amenities.
The Deputy Commissioner asked for maintaining cleanliness in and around the venue. He directed stakeholder departments to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply on the day of the celebration.Â
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed provisions for ambulance services, deployment of security personnel and adequate manpower, emphasizing timely coordination among all departments to ensure the event is conducted smoothly and successfully.
The meeting was attended by CPO, Shamaun Ahmed, ACR Mohd. Sayeed; GM DIC/PO-ICDS Naheem Un Nissa Bhatti; ACP Rakesh Kumar; ACD Shakeel Ahmed Malik; DSEO Javid Mohd; CMO Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan; CEO Education Mukhtar Manhas; heads of government institutions and officers from BSF, CRPF and others.
