Sets April 25 deadline for survey completion

POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma convened a meeting to review the progress and strategize the implementation of the Gyan Bharatam initiative in the district.

The meeting was informed that four Committees have been constituted to oversee implementation of key components of the initiative, including survey monitoring, implementation, awareness and outreach, as well as training and capacity building.

Emphasizing timely execution, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure completion of the survey by April 25. He also stressed the need to intensify awareness activities across the district to maximize public participation and outreach.

Further, instructions were issued for the establishment of a dedicated monitoring cell to track daily progress, ensuring effective coordination and prompt resolution of issues during implementation.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik; Professor Dr. Shahim Banday; DIO NIC Parvinder Singh; District Statistical and Evaluation Officer Javed Ahmed; Assistant Director Handloom Jyoti Choudhary; Headquarters Assistant Pallvi Verma; BDO Headquarters.  The BDOs, CDPOs and other concerned officers joined through virtual mode.
