POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal today chaired a comprehensive review meeting with the officers of the Rural Development Department (RDD) to assess the progress of developmental works and the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes across the district.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner received block-wise and panchayat-wise updates from the concerned officers on the physical and financial progress achieved till the end of July 2025 under key RDD schemes and other vital projects.
The progress of construction work of panchayat Ghars and status of sanitation initiatives under the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) was also reviewed.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all Block Development Officers (BDOs) to expedite the execution of MGNREGA works. He emphasized timely disbursement of wages to job card holders and completion of Aadhaar seeding of their accounts to enhance transparency. He also called for fast-tracking the ongoing projects, initiation of new works, and ensuring completion within stipulated timelines.
The meeting was attended by ACD, ACP, DPO, XEN REW, BDOs, Headquarter Assistant and other concerned officers.
