POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma on Saturday chaired a meeting to finalise the empanelment of Motivators under Mission YUVA.
The meeting was convened to review and finalise the selection of Motivators and to ensure smooth implementation of Mission YUVA at the grassroots level.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Director Employment, General Manager District Industries Centre (DIC), Lead District Manager (LDM) and a Representative from Government Degree College (GDC) Poonch. The OSD Labour & Employment Department and the Nodal Officer, NABARD joined the meeting through virtual mode.
All shortlisted Motivators were also invited to attend the meeting in person. During the meeting, verification of documents of the Motivators was carried out meticulously. Based on their place of residence, feasibility and local familiarity, panchayats were assigned to each Motivator to ensure effective outreach and implementation.
The Motivators were comprehensively briefed about their role and responsibilities under Mission YUVA. They were directed to conduct extensive awareness programmes in their allotted panchayats regarding the objectives, benefits and opportunities available under Mission YUVA. Emphasis was laid on mobilising youth, guiding prospective entrepreneurs and facilitating timely submission of applications.
Further, Motivators were instructed to track applications, provide handholding support to applicants and ensure output tracking of cases sanctioned under the Mission. The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of dedication, transparency and accountability in achieving the objectives of Mission YUVA and making it a success at the district level.
The meeting concluded with a resolve to strengthen coordination among all stakeholders for effective implementation of Mission YUVA in District Poonch.
