KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today urged the people to avoid visiting Snow bound and slippery areas of the district in view of weather prediction.
The DC was addressing a press conference in his office chamber, here today.
He also expressed gratitude towards Army and BEACON authorities for timely evacuation of passengers from Khoni nallah on Kupwara-Tangdar road who were stranded due to Snowfall.
The DC said that Snow clearance operation on hilly roads with high altitudes is going on but the people should avoid journeys on such roads in view of weather predictions.
