KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, today chaired a detailed review meeting to accelerate the implementation of the Vibrant Villages Programme Phase-II.

The session focused on strategizing the holistic development of identified villages through enhanced infrastructure and connectivity.

Speaking on the occasion, DC underscored the critical need for inter-departmental convergence to ensure the successful execution of the central government’s initiative.

These efforts are aimed at significantly improving the quality of life for residents in these remote border villages and integrating them into the mainstream of development.

To ensure a systematic and data-driven approach, detailed booklets containing a comprehensive questionnaire were distributed to the nodal officers for conducting field visits for creating baseline survey of status of existing facilities and implementation of various schemes.

DC directed officers to visit their assigned villages, engage with the community and submit baseline survey findings.

The meeting was attended by Programme Officer ICDS, Yaar Ali Khan; SDM Lolab, SDM Karnah, CPO, DIO, BDOs, Executing Engineers and other concerned officers.
