DC Kupwara chairs DRA meeting

KUPWARA: The District Registration Authority (DRA) for Registration of Clinical Establishments met here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Imam Din to review the progress of registration of clinical establishments in the district.

Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that the health sector is a very sensitive sector which receives top priority of the Government adding that the registration and regulation of clinical establishments will ensure better health services to the people.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the concerned officers to ensure strict compliance of the Government guidelines during the registration process of the clinical establishments to safeguard the interest of all stakeholders.

Earlier, it was informed in the meeting that 45 applications have been received by the District Registering Authority for registration of various clinics. Out of which, 27 were found correct and provisional certificates were issued to them under Clinical Establishment Act 2021.   

It was given out in the meeting that a circular will be issued for registration of clinics and the clinics which are found practicing illegally; action under the provisions of the Act will be taken against the culprits.

ASP Handwara, DSP DAR Kupwara, Medical Superintendent District Hospital, DHO, Nodal Officer AYUSH and other concerned attended the meeting.
