Directs early completion of ongoing health projects

KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today visited District Hospital Kulgam to take stock of ongoing health projects in the hospital.

During the visit, DC passed instructions of expediting work on developmental projects including extension of 50 bedded emergency critical care unit, additional block for maternity and child health, renovation and upgradation of main District Hospital building, new ticketing counter cum waiting area, DNB hostel, developing additional car parking, and a dedicated space for autopsy room.

DC took a detailed review of hospital functioning by visiting IPD wards, interacted with patients and enquired about the facilities being provided in the hospital.

He also took stock of medicines available within the hospital particularly Jan Aushadhi.

DC enjoined upon the MS to encourage the night shifting of renovation work of old existing building so that minimum disturbance of patient care is possible.

It is worth mentioning here that under District capex budget upgradation plan 2024, works (civil and allied) at an estimated cost of Rs. 261.73 lacs are currently going on in full swing to fill the infrastructural gaps.

DC was accompanied by ADDC, Altaf Ahmad; ADC, Viqar Ahmed Giri; ACR Kulgam, Reyaz Ah Shah; CPO, Malik Suheel; CMO, Tehsildar and BDO Kulgam, Hq Assistant, AEE  J.E  R&B and administrative staff of DH Kulgam.
