KISHTWAR: A meeting to review the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY) was held here today. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pankaj Kumar Sharma chaired the meeting and assessed the monthly achievements and discussed amendments in the District Action Plan as suggested by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India.
At the outset, Member Secretary, (CAO) Kushal Chandel presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting the updates made in the District Action Plan.
He informed that all the four objective-wise changes have been incorporated strictly in accordance with the guidelines and instructions received from the Ministry.
The revised action plan focuses on enhancing agricultural productivity through improved practices and technology adoption, promoting diversification of crops to ensure sustainable farming and better income opportunities for farmers, strengthening post-harvest storage capacity to reduce losses and improve value realization and improving irrigation infrastructure and enhancing credit access to identified clusters for comprehensive agricultural development.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress achieved so far and emphasized timely implementation of the revised strategies to ensure optimum benefits reach the farming community. The chair directed all departments to work in close coordination for effective execution of the scheme and achievement of the set targets within the stipulated timeline.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Vinod Kumar Behnal; CPO Akhil Thakur; ACD Manoj Kumar; ACP Neeraj Sharma; CAO Kushal Chandel; CHO Sajid Mustafa; DSHO, besides other Officers and concerned staff.
