KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma today disbursed Rs.6 lakh as compensation under the J&K Road Accident Victim Fund, based on the cases submitted by Motor Vehicle Department.
An amount of Rs. 1 lakh each was disbursed to the legal heirs of four persons who died in road accidents and Rs 50,000 each to four grievously injured persons.
The initiative aims to extend support to those affected by road mishaps and assist bereaved families.
The families who received compensation included Gulzar Banoo w/o Mudassir Hussain R/o Dugga Saroor; Bhagat Ram S/o Sher Chand R/o Tayari Paddar; Permila Kumari Sharma w/o Trilochan Dutt R/o Panditgam; Mohd Akbar S/o Ghulam Qadir Karthie Paddar; Altaf Hussain S/o Mohd Shafi R/o Padyarna Patharnaki; Sajid Hussain S/o Riaz Ahmed R/o Dool; Abrar Hussain S/o Zakir Hussain R/o Patimahal Palmar and Iflal Ahmed Wani S/o Sanaullah Wani R/o Sounder Dachan.
