DC Kishtwar holds public grievance redressal camp at village Marwari -Panchayat Karool -B in Block Drabshalla

KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav accompanied by a team of District and Sectoral Officers conducted a public grievance redressal camp at Marwari, panchayat Karool B of Block Drabshalla.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by ACD, Sunil Bhutyal; Tehsildar Kishtwar, Muneeb Umar, Executive Engineer PwD, Rabinder Kumar; Executive Engineer, PHE Sunil Sharma; BDO Trigam Anjil Singh; ZEO, Kishtwar Ranbeer Singh; AEE JPDCL, besides other concerned officers.

The camp provided a platform to the local community, including PRIs (Panchayati Raj Institutions), to express their concerns and project demands related to infrastructure up-gradation and improvement of public services.

The camp began with the Deputy Commissioner giving a patient hearing to the grievances and demands put forth by the attendees.

Conceding the importance of timely redress of demands, the Deputy Commissioner assured the people that their genuine concerns would be addressed within a specified timeframe.

To facilitate this process, necessary directions were issued to the respective departments redressal of grievances.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, along with officers from the Public Works Department (PWD), conducted an inspection of the Marwari road. The purpose was to assess and address any hindrances that might be impeding the progress of the road construction. In light of the challenges identified, Tehsildar Kishtwar was directed to explore alternative routes and initiate the acquisition of land required for the completion of the road.

Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner visited the Government Middle School  Marwari to assess the infrastructure gaps in the educational institution. Acknowledging the need for improvement, Dr. Devansh Yadav instructed the Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) to take up the construction of a protection wall and toilet repair under RDD schemes.

 Further, the concerned Tehsildar was directed to take steps to repair the access route to school.

Continuing the inspection, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, accompanied by district and sectoral officers, evaluated the progress of various developmental works across different panchayats. At panchayat Drab, specific instructions were given for the development of a Passenger Shed under the 14th Finance Commission (14FC). Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of adhering to the prescribed guidelines in terms of quality and pace of the shed’s construction.

Similarly, at Panchayat Agral, Deputy Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav visited TRC Agral and addressed the identified issues.  

Later, the DC Kishtwar, along with President Municipal Council, Sajjad Ahmed Najjar, also visited the Material Recovery Facility for waste recovering and processing in the Municipal area.
