DDC Kishtwar reviews performance of PWD

KISHTWAR: District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the pace of progress on various works being executed by the PWD department in the district.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Executive Engineers, AEEs, AEs of the Public Works (R&B) department, besides the contractors.

During the meeting, the DDC took a detailed assessment of the physical and financial progress of works under CAPEX budget, Centrally Sponsored Scheme and Languishing project.

The executing agencies were asked to work with utmost dedication and speed up the pace of work on all ongoing developmental works for their timely completion.

The DDC directed executive engineers to devise an effective mechanism for daily monitoring of projects to achieve the targets timely.

Besides, the DDC stressed on taking up only the feasible works and those that were granted Technical sanction and Administrative Approval by the concerned authorities.

He also asked the concerned to take up the matter with their higher ups for the resolution of financial bottlenecks of some projects. The XEns were asked to submit the PERT chart for better coordination of developmental works so that all the projected works are completed in stipulated time period.

The completion of the projects in the snow bound areas before the onset of unfavourable weather conditions was stressed upon.
