DC Kathua reviews progress of works being executed under SASCI

KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rajesh Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the progress of works being executed under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner took stock of the progress achieved in execution of the approved works. He directed the concerned executing agencies to remove all bottlenecks and ensure completion of projects within the prescribed timelines. He emphasized timely flagging of administrative, technical or financial issues with the Deputy Commissioner’s office for prompt intervention.

The meeting reviewed the status of the construction of the District Development Council Building taken up at an estimated cost of Rs. 235.52 lakh; Construction of a 70-metre RCC motorable bridge on the Bhoond to Janu road with an estimated cost of Rs. 712.85 lakh and up-gradation of the 30-bedded CHC Building Billawar to a 100-bedded facility with an estimated cost of Rs. 2818.44 lakh.

The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the importance of close coordination among all stakeholders to ensure timely execution of these critical infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening public service delivery in the district.
