DC Jammu hands over loan sanction letters to 72 young entrepreneurs

JAMMU: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas today handed over sanction letters to a fresh batch of entrepreneurs under Mission YUVA at a special event organised at the Zonal Office of J&K Bank.

The programme was attended by Deputy Director DECC, Sunaina Saini, Assistant Director Employment, Mukhlis Ali, senior functionaries of J&K Bank and aspiring entrepreneurs who have been sanctioned loans under the scheme.

Representatives of J&K Bank, including Rakesh Mangotra, General Manager (RAM & GSS), Ashok Gupta, General Manager and Divisional Head Jammu, Anita Nehru, Deputy General Manager and Zonal Head Jammu, besides Cluster Heads of Jammu Zone were also present and assured continued support in timely disbursement and facilitation of the scheme.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Minhas congratulated the beneficiaries and said that the sanction of financial support under Mission YUVA would provide them a new direction for growth and self-reliance. He described the scheme as a blessing for aspiring entrepreneurs who are determined to carve a niche for themselves in different sectors. The Deputy Commissioner also lauded the role of the Employment Department in effectively facilitating the scheme at the grassroots level.

Deputy Director Employment, Sunaina Saini, informed that sanction letters in respect of 72 cases were handed over at today’s event, while as many as 885 cases have already been approved by the District Level Implementation Committee. She expressed confidence that many more success stories would emerge under the scheme in the coming months.

The event concluded with an interactive session where the young beneficiaries shared their aspirations and expressed gratitude for the government’s initiative that promises to transform their entrepreneurial dreams into reality.

Mission YUVA is a flagship initiative of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir aimed at fostering youth entrepreneurship and employment generation across the Union Territory. The scheme provides financial assistance to fresh as well as existing entrepreneurs to establish and expand their business ventures, with J&K Bank acting as the key financial partner for its implementation.
