Approves 202 Youth Entrepreneurship Cases under Mission YUVA
GANDERBAL: In a significant push towards youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) of Mission YUVA was held today at Ganderbal under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore.
At the outset, the Additional District Development Commissioner apprised the chair about the progress achieved in processing of applications at various stages under Mission YUVA in the district.
While reviewing the progress of the scheme, the DC highlighted the pivotal role of Mission YUVA in fostering entrepreneurship, enhancing skills, and creating employment opportunities for young aspirants in the district.
He directed the concerned department to dispose-off cases timely and stressed that there should be no pendencies. He also directed the Lead District Manager (LDM) to immediately process all loan cases currently under process to ensure timely financial support to beneficiaries.
The DC called for wide publicity and promotion of the posts of External Trainers under the scheme. He further stressed the need for early finalization of mentors under Mission YUVA.
During the meeting, the committee examined cases related to the establishment of nano-enterprises under the Mission YUVA scheme.
After detailed scrutiny, 202 fresh cases were unanimously approved, aimed at promoting self-employment and ensuring sustainable livelihoods for local youth.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Manzoor Ahmad; Lead District Manager, Cluster Head J&K Bank, Assistant Director Employment, District Social Welfare Officer, District Nodal Officer JKEDI, and other concerned officers and officials.
