DODA: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh chaired a meeting at the DC Office to review Independence Day 2025 arrangements.
Present were SSP Doda Sandeep Kumar Mehta, ADDC Roshan Lal, ACR Ashraf Pervez, PO ICDS Akhtar Hussain Qazi, ACD Din Mohammad Afaqi, ACP Musharaf Ali Haif and officers from line departments.
The main function will be held at Doda Sports Stadium with the flag hoisting, March Past and cultural performances. The program will start with Shehnai Vadan by the Information Department and patriotic songs will play in town as proposed by the Municipal Council.
Directions were issued for cultural programs, stadium renovations, illumination of public spaces, installation of a public address system and tricolour hoisting at Amrit Sarovars.
The DC emphasized inter-departmental coordination and instructed departments on water, power, sanitation, first aid, fire safety and traffic management. The SSP assured comprehensive security arrangements.
Departments were also asked to conduct plantation drives and promote the Nasha Mukt Bharat initiative during the celebration.
