BUDGAM: The Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganai in presence of Assistant Commissioner, Labour, Budgam, released Rs 1,65,46,500 received from Building and Other Construction Welfare Board through Labour Department, Budgam under two relief components, Covid-19 and Education Assistance, in favour of labour class of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated and hailed the humanitarian gesture from the organization particularly Building and Other Construction Welfare Board.
He said out of this cumulative amount of Rs. 826300 has been released as financial assistance in favour of 8263 registered labour class @ Rs 1000 per person under Covid-19 assistance. In addition Rs. 8283500 has been released to 300 beneficiaries facilitating scholarship assistance to 1021 students affiliated with Labour Department.
