Directs effective grievance redressal & doorstep service delivery at grassroots level during the week
BUDGAM: As part of Good Governance Week 2025, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, today chaired a meeting to review preparations for the upcoming “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign, scheduled to be held from December 19 to December 25.
During the meeting, the DC outlined a comprehensive action plan aimed at ensuring effective grievance redressal and delivery of public services at the grassroots level. He directed all departments to ensure that public grievances received during the campaign period are resolved on a priority basis, and that a daily report on grievance redressal be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner’s office without fail.
The DC directed the Revenue Department to conduct revenue grievance redressal camps in every revenue village, with special emphasis on resolving issues related to Mutation by Inheritance (Virasati Intikal), Jan Sugam, JK Samadhan, and other revenue-related services.
Similarly, the Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Budgam and all Block Development Officers (BDOs) were instructed to organise camps for registration of births and deaths, IHHL registration, issuance of new job cards, and other related services.
The DC emphasized that the Rural Development Department (RDD), being the nodal department, will coordinate with all line departments at the Panchayat level to ensure doorstep delivery of services.
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Budgam, was directed to ensure the organisation of health camps in every tehsil during the campaign period to provide basic healthcare services and medical consultations, besides increasing registration of ABHA IDs.
The Handloom and Handicrafts Department was directed to conduct on-the-spot artisan registrations.
The Agriculture and Allied Departments were instructed to enhance coverage under Kisan Credit Card (KCC), update farmer details on the Kisan Daksh Portal, facilitate new FPO registrations, and intensify beneficiary enrolment during Sushasan Saptaah.
The Social Welfare Department and the Lead District Manager (LDM) were directed to increase beneficiary coverage under various social security and welfare schemes in every Panchayat of the district.
Further, the DC directed all departments to hold special camps and seminars on good governance, aimed at creating awareness among citizens about government initiatives, service delivery mechanisms, and best practices in governance.
The meeting was attended by ADC Budgam Mehraj-ud-Din Shah; CPO Budgam, Javeed Ahmad; ACD Budgam, Hilal Ahmad; CMO Budgam, all SDMs, CEO Municipality Budgam, District Information Officer, District Informatics Officer, all Tehsildars, BDOs, and other concerned officers and officials of the district.
