BANDIPORA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad today paid a surprise visit to CHC Sumbal to take stock of medical facilities being provided to the patients.
During the visit, the DC inspected various units of CHC including OPD, Wards, diagnostic centre, laboratory and other vital units and took stock of their functioning.
He also checked the attendance of the staff and stressed on them to ensure punctuality.
He directed the Medical Superintendent to ensure availability of specialised staff during night hours also.
The DC also inspected the functioning of various machinery and medical equipments installed in CHC. He said proper maintenance mechanism for medical equipments and machinery should be put in place so that advanced medical care facilities are provided to the public.
During the visit Dr. Owais also stressed on maintaining sanitation and hygiene in and outside the hospital. He also met the patients admitted in the wards and took feedback from them on the treatment and facilities in the hospital.
Later, the DC also interacted with hospital authorities to resolve multiple departmental issues.
He said administration is committed to provide best health care facilities to people and enjoined upon the entire medical and paramedical staff to serve the patients with utmost dedication and sincerity to provide requisite quality healthcare facilities to the people.
During his visit, The DC was accompanied by SDM Sumbal Dr. Bashir Lone, Tehsilar Sumbal and SDPO Sumbal.
