DC B’gam visits several areas of Tehsil Chadoora

BUDGA: Continuing UT Governments public outreach initiative, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam today visited many areas of Tehsil Chadoora including Wathoora, Gopalpora, Balpora, Batapora and Hanjigund to have on spot status of ongoing works and grievances of public.

 The DC on reaching Balpora Wathoora was welcomed by local residents in their traditional way as most of the residents are affiliated to local folk Band-Pather community, highly famous across the country.

He took stock of the grievances and demands of the people of the area. The demands included construction of bridge connecting Balpora with Batapora, construction of protection Bund on the embankments of nallah Doodhganga passing through this village, besides many other demands relating to some basic issues were also brought into the notice of visiting administration team.

The DC on the occasion said that he was keen to visit this area along with other adjacent areas in order to have firsthand appraisal of the requirements. He assured locals that their demands shall be taken on priority and all efforts will be initiated to mitigate the demands at an earliest.

Later, the DC had a public interaction session at Government Higher Secondary School Wathoora, where delegations from adjacent areas had assembled to apprise the visiting authorities about grievances and problems relating to improvement of roads, improvement in drinking water supply, revisiting the settlement issues pertaining to these areas, up gradation of educational institutions etc.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC assured that all genuine demands and other problems put forth have all been recorded and listed by the concerned authorities. Mirza said that he along with team have come to the place so that concerned officers themselves can observe and note down the status of requirements.

He said all concerned have been instructed to double their efforts in order to ensure that most of the grievances and demands are mitigated within time frame keeping in view the impending winter period.

Earlier, the DC enroute to the venue inaugurated the workshop cum sale outlet store established at Chadoora by Escorts Company dealing in sale and manufacturing of Farmtrac tractors of different Horsepower capacities.

The officers accompanied the DC include CMO, CEO, all Ex. Ers, Tehsildar Chadoora, BMO and other concerned.
