BANDIPORA: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, conducted an extensive tour of Ajas Tehsil to review the functioning of government offices, inspect public facilities and listen to public grievances.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the Tehsil Office Ajas and reviewed routine administrative work, including the progress of ongoing digitisation. She directed the staff to ensure timely delivery of services and maintain efficiency, transparency and responsiveness in public dealing.
The DC also visited Panchayat Ghar Ajas C, where she inspected the library and emphasized optimal utilisation of such facilities for the benefit of local residents, especially students and youth.
Interacting with the general public at various locations, the Deputy Commissioner patiently listened to their issues and assured them that genuine grievances would be addressed on priority by the district administration.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited the Higher Secondary School and Government Degree College Ajas, where she interacted with the staff and reviewed the overall functioning of the institutions. She stressed the importance of maintaining academic discipline, improving learning outcomes and fostering a student-friendly environment.
The visit reiterated the district administration’s commitment to grassroots governance, effective service delivery and direct public outreach.
