CUK’s DIT holds ‘Ta’aruf 2.0’

Ganderbal: Department of Information Technology (DIT), Central University of Kashmir (CUK), organised an induction programme ‘Ta’aruf 2.0’ for the fresh batch of M. Tech. Computer Science & Engineering students, which was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Shah.

Prof. Farooq Ahmad Shah expressed happiness that the School of Engineering and Technology (SoET) has managed to intake students at full capacity. “The university administration and faculty will be always working for the welfare of the students,” he said, adding the degrees would be awarded on time with no compromise on quality of education. He asked the students to use their time in a productive manner and also apprised them about the facilities available in the varsity.

Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, congratulated the students for securing admission in the DIT and said, “It is because of Computer Science & Engineering, the world has become a global village.”

Dean, SoET, Dr. M Ahsan Chishti, welcomed the freshers and assured full support of the faculty and administrative staff. Prof. A.M. Wani briefed the students about the growth of Computer Science over the course of time. Er. AfaqAlam Khan, Head DIT, conducted the event proceedings while as Er. Zahoor Ahmad Najar proposed the vote of thanks.
