Cross-establishment visit session held at Div Com Office Jammu

JAMMU: As part of the ongoing Civil-Military Fusion Capsule in Jammu, a cross-establishment visit was conducted today at the Office of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu. The session was presided over by the Assistant Commissioner Naresh Kumar and witnessed active participation of representatives from civil administration, military establishments and line departments.

The day’s proceedings commenced with a presentation on “Civil Administration: Understanding Organisation, Role & Functioning” by representatives of the Civil Administration, highlighting governance structures and coordination mechanisms in the Jammu region. This was followed by a session on “Perspective Development Plan in Jammu Region and Integration with Military Requirements,” emphasizing synchronized developmental strategies catering to both civil and security needs.

An informal tea interaction between civil and military participants further strengthened interpersonal rapport and mutual understanding. Subsequently, Brigadier (Dr.) Vijay Sagar Dheman (Retd) delivered a detailed talk on “Border Area Development and Dual Use Infrastructure,” focusing on critical border logistics and integrated infrastructure planning.

The concluding session by the Joint Director, Tourism Department on “Integrated Border Area Development with Battlefield Tourism in Jammu Region” outlined tourism-led growth opportunities in sensitive sectors, aligning with national objectives of security and regional prosperity.

Representatives from the civil administrations of Kathua and Samba also attended, reaffirming the spirit of “One Team – One Mission” towards sustainable border area development and civil-military synergy.
