The decision to impose the fresh measures in order to prevent the spread of Covid19 came after a meeting was held by officials/officers on Friday. In the meeting, besides other measures, it was decided that there would be a complete restriction on non-essential movement in the entire J&K during weekends.

It was also said that all Colleges, Schools, Polytechnics, ITIs, Coaching Centres for Civil Services/Engineering/NEET etc. would adopt online medium of teaching and no in-person teaching to be conducted. “A maximum number of people permitted to attend any indoor/outdoor gathering shall be strictly restricted to 25,” said an order.

It was also said that night curfew would remain in force in all districts from 9 pm to 6 am with complete restriction on non-essential movement. “There shall be renewed focus on Panchayat Level/Medical Block mapping of cases and effective micro-containment zones shall be constituted wherever the number of Covid19 positive cases reaches 3 or above,” the order added.

Besides the above stated measures, the order also mentioned about the measures to be implemented in J&K akin to the ones seen during Ist and Second waves.
