J&K reports 91 new coronavirus cases with death toll at 24

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday reported fresh 91 positive cases from across the UT’s districts, which were found infected with SARS-CoV-2 virus so far.

With discovery of these cases, the total count of confirmed Covid-19 cases rose to 1759 with 24 death in Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr. S Saleem Khan COVID-19 at GMC Srinagar confirmed that 25 cases were tested positive out of 590 samples at CD hospital Srinagar.

“Of the 91 new cases,  29 positive cases are from Ramban, 12 from Budgam, 10 from Jammu,  07 from Srinagar,  06 including three pregnant women from Baramulla, four each from  Bandipora Ganderbal – one pregnant lady, Poonch and Kathua, 03 from Reasi, 02 each from Udampur, Pulwama and Samba and 01 each from Kupwara and Kulgam.

Among 92, 19 tested positive in JVC SKIMS Bemina hospital in which 12 are from Budgam, 06 from Srinagar – 03 Alamgiri Bazar, 02 Hawal and 01 positive case from Kathua district.

According to reports, among the 91 cases 58 are from Jammu division.

Meanwhile, 90-year-elderly man resident of Khaloora Kulgam who was referred to SKIMS Soura from GMC Anantnag yesterday  became another victim of novel coronavirus, breathed his last today, taking the death toll to 24 in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a major relief, 24 patients were also recovered from the deadly covid 19 and discharged from various hospital bemina- 04 from Anantnag, 09 from Kathua, 03 from Samba, 02 each from Bandipora and Reasi and 01 each from Srinagar and Ramban district.
