Srinagar, Nov 7: A 29-year-old policeman was shot dead on Sunday evening in Batamaloo area of Srinagar.
Quoting official sources, news agency KNO reported that the cop Tauseef Ahmad was fired upon in SD Colony area of Batamaloo.
He was immediately rushed to SMHS hospital where doctors declared him dead, the official added.
Medical Superintendent of SMHS, Dr Kanwaljeet Singh confirmed the cop’s death.
