KISHTWAR: The Closing Ceremony of Sansad Khel Spardha was organized with great enthusiasm and spirit by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Kishtwar in collaboration with the District Administration Kishtwar, at New DC Office Complex Mini Secretariat Conference Hall, Kishtwar.
The event marked the successful culmination of a vibrant multi-sport extravaganza aimed at promoting sports culture and youth participation across the district.
A major highlight of the concluding ceremony was the interaction of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, with the winners and runners-up of various disciplines including Volleyball, Football, Tug of War, Athletics, Yoga, Badminton, Chess and Wrestling.
The interaction greatly inspired the participating athletes and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment towards grassroots sports development.
The Chief Guest of the occasion was the District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma while the Guest of Honour was the Chief Planning Officer Kishtwar, Akhil Thakur.
During the ceremony, the District Development Commissioner appreciated the dedicated services and tireless efforts of the officials and employees of the Youth Services & Sports Department, and trophies were presented as a mark of recognition and encouragement for their outstanding contribution in making the Sansad Khel Spardha a grand success.
